The Opel X16SZR is a 1.6 L (1,598 cc, 97.52 cu·in) straight-4 natural aspirated four-stroke water-cooled internal combustion gasoline engine, manufactured by Opel, a subsidiary of General Motors. The engine used on Opel/Vauxhall models, such as Astra, Vectra, and Zafira.
The Opel X16SZR engine has a cast-iron cylinder block, belt-driven single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and 8 valves (2 per cylinder). This engine used a single-point fuel injection system with GM Multec engine management system and electronic ignition system with the single ignition coil.
