Torx TX097 engineThe Torx TX097 is a 97 cc, (5.92 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft. The engine is used for general-purpose applications, such as pumps, lawn cutting equipment, shredders, high-pressure washer, hydraulic pumps, and drive units.

The Torx TX097 engine has a single cylinder, overhead valve (OHV) design for increased efficiency and optimal power transfer, and recoil starter. The TX097 is equipped with a 1.4 L (0.37 US. gal. 0.31 Imp. gal.) fuel tank. This engine produced 2.4 PS (1.8 kW; 2.4 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 3.1 N·m (0.3 kg·m, 2.3 ft·lb) at 3,000 rpm of torque.
