The Torx TX390 is a 0.4 L (390 cc, 23.8 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft. The TX390 engine is used motor pumps, lawn cutting equipment, shredders, high-pressure washer, hydraulic pumps, and drive units.
The Torx TX390 engine has a single-cylinder, overhead valve (OHV) design for increased efficiency and optimal power transfer, and recoil starter. This engine used a horizontal type carburetor, transistorized magneto ignition system, splash type lubricating system and forced-air cooling system. The TX390 is equipped with a 6.5 L (1.72 US. gal. 1.43 Imp. gal.) fuel tank.
The Torx TX390 engine produced 12.9 PS (9.5 kW; 12.7 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum output power and 22.0 N·m (2.2 kg·m, 16.2 ft·lb) at 2,700 rpm of peak torque.
