The Torx TX420 is a 0.4 L (420 cc, 25.63 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft. The TX420 engine is used motor pumps, lawn cutting equipment, shredders, high-pressure washer, hydraulic pumps, and drive units.
The Torx TX420 engine has a single-cylinder, overhead valve (OHV) design for increased efficiency, and recoil starter. This engine used a horizontal type carburetor, transistorized magneto ignition system, splash type lubricating system, and forced-air cooling system. The TX420 is equipped with a 6.5 L (1.72 US. gal. 1.43 Imp. gal.) fuel tank.
The Torx TX420 engine produced 15 PS (11.0 kW; 14.8 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum output power and 23.0 N·m (2.3 kg·m, 17 ft·lb) at 2,750 rpm of peak torque.
