Caterpillar C1.1 engineThe Caterpillar C1.1 is a 1.13 L (1,130 cc, 68.96 cu·in) natural aspirated three-cylinders four-stroke liquid-cooled internal combustion vertical diesel, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. for general-purpose applications.

The Cat C1.1 engine has a three-cylinders, cast-iron cylinder block, overhead valve design, indirect injection fuel system, 12 volts electric starter motor, and 12 Volts (40 amp) alternator. This engine used a belt-driven coolant pump and coolant temperature switch. The lubrication system consists of a closed-circuit breather, spin-on lube oil filter, lube oil pressure switch, and lube oil sump.

The Caterpillar C1.1 engine produced:

  • EU Stage IIIA emission standards (Standard version): From 20 PS (14.7 kW; 19.7 HP) at 2,200 rpm to 28.6 PS (21 kW; 28.2 HP) at 3,400 rpm of output power and 59 N·m (6 kg·m, 43.5 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm of torque.
  • EU Stage IIIA emission standards (Derate version): From 18.6 PS (13.7 KW; 18.4 HP) at 2,200 rpm to 24.1 PS (17.7 KW; 23.7 HP) at 3,000 rpm of maximum power
  • U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards: From 19.6 PS (14.4 KW; 19.3 HP) at 2,200 rpm to 25.0 PS (18.4 KW; 24.7 HP) at 2,800 rpm of power.
  • U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim emission standards (Standard version): From 20.0 PS (14.7 KW; 19.7 HP) at 2,200 rpm to 28.6 PS (21.0 KW; 28.2 HP) at 3,400 rpm of power.
  • U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim emission standards (Derate version): From 18.6 PS (13.7 KW; 18.4 HP) at 2,200 rpm to 28.6 PS (21.0 KW; 28.2 HP) at 3,400 rpm of power.

The CAT C1.1 power unit produced:
