The Honda G28 is a 67 cc, (4.1 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft, manufactured by Honda Motor Company from 1969 for general-purpose applications.
The Honda G28 engine has an overhead camshaft and an efficient combustion chamber designs together with a high-performance carburetor. The G28 is equipped with a 2.6 L (0.69 US. gal. 0.57 Imp. gal.) fuel tank.
This engine produced 2.0 PS (1.49 kW; 2.0 HP) at 5,000 rpm of continuous rated output power and 3.0 PS (2.23 kW; 3.0 HP) at 6,000 rpm fo maximum power.

Cylinder Block and Head
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 49.0 mm (1.93 in) and 35.5 mm (1.4 in), respectively. The compression ratio rating is 8.3:1. Friction components such as the cylinder sleeve and piston are made of high-strength materials. The crankshaft is mounted on ball bearings for reduced friction.

Service Data
The Honda 4-stroke or an equivalent oil with a viscosity of SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 is recommended for the G28 engine, refilling oil capacity is 0.7 L (0.74 US. qt, 0.62 Imp. qt.). Recommended spark plug is C-6HB with a 0.6-0.7 mm (0.0236-0.0276 in) spark plug gap.
