The Honda EG1000 is a single-phase AC/DC 115V portable generator with 1.0 kVA of maximum power and 0.8 kVA of rated power and 60 Hz of rated frequency. The direct current terminals can be used for charging 12-volt automotive-type batteries only up to 8.3A.
The Honda EG1000 generator uses single-cylinder Honda G150 K1 gasoline engine (144 cc; 8.8 cu.in.). The Honda G150 is a single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion engine with side-valve (L-head) design. The engine uses transistorized magneto ignition, horizontal type carburetor, and recoil starter. The G150 engine a compression ratio rating is 6.5:1, cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 64.0 mm (2.52 in) and 45.0 mm (1.77 in), respectively.
The G150 produced 3.5 HP (2.6 kW) at 3600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 7.1 Nm (0.72 kg·m; 5.2 ft·lb) at 3,000 rpm of torque.
