The Kohler K241 is a 391 cc, (23.9 cu·in) natural aspirated single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled internal combustion small gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft, manufactured by Kohle Co., for general-purpose applications.
An 82.6 mm (3.25 in) cylinder bore and 73.0 mm (2.87 in) piston stroke give the K241 engine a total of 391 cc of displacement. The K241 engine produced 10.2 PS (7.5 kW; 10.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower.
The Kohler K241 features:
- L-head (side valve) design
- Magneto ignition system, battery ignition system, breakerless ignition system ignition system*
- Carburetor (Kohler or Walbro – fixed main jet or adjustable main jet)*
- Centrifugal governor
- Splash type lubrication system
- Forced air cooling system
- Retractable or electirc starter
* – depending on modification
